About the Role
We are seeking a Managing Engineer to lead and oversee reconstruction casework, technical research, and client interactions. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical/automotive skills, excellent communication, and a passion for automotive investigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute reconstruction casework from a technical and organizational perspective.

Research technical questions and vehicle assemblies to support reconstruction analyses.

Analyze vehicle data, collect evidence, and reconstruct vehicle collisions.

Draft detailed technical reports summarizing findings for legal and non‑technical audiences.

Liaise with clients, attorneys, and internal technical staff to coordinate case progress and clarify issues.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and oversight to junior engineers or reconstruction staff.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related engineering field.
Demonstrated hands‑on automotive experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong computer and analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
Must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,500 / year
Type: Full‑time, in‑office
