About the Role
This internship is designed for an ambitious marketer who wants to turn classroom knowledge into real-world impact. You’ll focus on driving new business—generating qualified leads, sharpening our messaging, and amplifying our online presence.
Responsibilities
Demand Generation & Funnel Building
• Research target segments (insurance adjusters, attorneys, government) and map outreach channels.
• Create and iterate email sequences, landing pages, and nurture campaigns aimed at converting prospects to clients.
SEO & Website Growth
• Conduct keyword and competitor gap analyses; recommend on-page updates that boost rankings for high-value terms.
• Track performance in Google Search Console and GA4, summarizing progress in weekly dashboards.
Paid & Organic Ads
• Assist with Google, LinkedIn, and other ads: audience setup, basic budget management, and reporting.
Content & Thought Leadership
• Draft blog posts, case-study blurbs, and social updates that showcase engineering expertise and client success.
Marketing Operations
• Evaluate emerging mar-tech tools (light AI, automation, analytics) that can streamline campaigns and improve ROI.
What You’ll Learn & Achieve
• How to build and optimize a B2B marketing funnel from first touch to closed deal.
• Practical SEO, paid-media, and analytics skills employers demand.
Requirements
Local current student or recent grad in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
Familiarity with SEO basics (keyword research, meta-data) and at least one ad platform (Google, LinkedIn, or other comparable).
Comfortable interpreting metrics in GA4, Search Console, or similar dashboards.
Strong writing skills and a growth mindset—you test, measure, and iterate.
Internship Details
Commitment: 15–20 hrs/week, onsite in Orinda
Duration: 12 weeks (flexible start)
Compensation: $16.50/hr
Post-internship: Outstanding performers may be offered a part-time or full-time marketing role
